New Apparatus

In 2016, the Coolbaugh Twp. Vol. Fire Company established a new truck committee and began working hard towards a goal of replacing the current “Engine 25” manufactured by KME which has served the company since mid-2006.

After extensive meetings and reviewing spec’s, the committee and voting body signed contract with Signal 1 Fire Equipment and the Sutphen Corporation. Along with the generous contributions and assistance from township officials, the Sutphen Corporation has been tasked to produce two custom twin Engines.

These engine chassis were produced at Sutphen’s home factory in Ohio and then took the journey to their newest production facility in Lake Ariel, PA where they have begun assembly.

With an expected delivery on our company’s anniversary date (October 19th), we are excited to celebrate our 69th year of serving Coolbaugh Township and the surrounding communities with two brand new workhorse apparatus!

Not only were these apparatus custom from the ground up but we have officially changed our apparatus color scheme too!
